Our Outside Faculty

At Rhodes Career College we are proud of our instructors!

They are carefully chosen for their ability to work well with adult students. They are fully qualified to teach in their area of expertise, and know how to blend theory with practice.

Life skills theory holds that the client or student is the 'expert' on how to solve their own life problems. Our instructors respect each individual's learning style.

All training is conducted in an experiential learning environment, but will also include a variety of other instructional methods, such as lectures, reading and writing assignments, role plays, instructor demonstrations, and, in some instances, field trips.

Our professional instructors keep pace with adult learning principles and industry standards, and our employment counsellors will assist you to target your job search.

Mylene Bergeron

Mylene completed her 1000hr. massage therapy certification in 1999 from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe. She immediately submerged herself in the field and began practicing amongst some of B.C.s most pristine heli-ski lodges where she also led a stretching program and skied world-class powder! Her work experience continued on an interesting path to include working with surfers injuries along a Doctor of Chiropractics in Hawaii, offering Stretch & Wellness workshops for Volcom, a surf company in California and assisting the Canadian National & Junior cross-country ski teams as a massage therapist & physical counselor. Being an avid surfer, world traveler and overall athlete has forever brought Mylene to develop a unique and most therapeutic approach to bodywork, which emphasizes and promotes physical alignment through postural, spiritual and emotional awareness. As a result of her life and work experience, she is currently involved in the Physical Wellness component of Rhodes Wellness College in Vancouver and is designing / teaching the Body/Mind Integration and Deep Flow Massage courses at the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage. Mylene maintains a private practice in Vancouver on a semi-permanent basis since she is also pursuing her surfing passion with regular trips around the world.
