The BC SPCA Join an International Leader in Animal Welfare The BC SPCA is looking for Regional Walk Coordinators Positions: 4 x Regional Walk Coordinators Status: Contract, full-time (7 months) Locations: Island, Interior, North & Lower Mainland The BC SPCA is more than 115 years young and growing. We’re a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals throughout BC. Paws for a Cause is the BC SPCA’s signature event and the largest campaign in support of animals in BC. In 2010, 36 communities in BC will organize Paws for a Cause walks on September 12th, in which thousands of animal lovers will participate. The goal for 2010 is to raise more than $1 Million throughout the Province of BC. You are a high-energy professional with a creative personality and proven experience in event project management and fundraising. You are capable of delivering results within short deadlines. You have also demonstrated your smart “self management skills” by effectively and efficiently organizing, prioritizing and completing multiple assignments in a timely manner. You are very results oriented. You are a strong self starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your ability to relate effectively to a wide diversity of people is integral to this position. You have the ability to work within a team environment but also able to work independently. These positions will appeal to candidates who enjoy working from a home-based office. You have access to a vehicle as some travel may be required.
