History

Rhodes Wellness College opened in 1996. The first program offered was the popular Life Skills Coach Certificate program, followed by the Life Skills Counsellor Certificate program. The college launched its first diploma program in 1999 with the Life Skills Instructor Diploma program (now called the Life Coach Diploma program).

In response to the growing needs of employers and government agencies concerned with creating healthy workplaces and individuals, and to address the growing need for qualified and recognized education in this area, the Wellness Counsellor Diploma program was developed in 2001.

Rhodes Wellness College has introduced an advanced Professional Counsellor Diploma Program. This new program combines a complete education in wellness, lifestyle management, coaching and counselling with enhanced professional skill development and support for professional accreditation. Graduates of this program also receive assistance in working towards their Registered Professional Counsellor designation.

Recently, the Life Skills Coach Certificate course received ACSTH accreditation from the International Coach Federation, creating a pathway for graduates to obtain professional accreditation in the coaching field.

Our Addictions Counsellor Diploma was launched in September of 2012. Part time and on-line studies are now available.
