Professional profile
I came to coaching and counselling having spent thirty years in community consultation, facilitation, social advocacy, and executive leadership for business, government, and non-profit organizations – and twenty years recovering from my own addiction and mental health challenges. In both the professional and personal realms, I understand how off track we can become, how much despair we can experience, and how true freedom is possible, from within.
Areas of Specialization; I'm all about conversation - with individuals, couples, and groups who are tired of being 'stuck'. Whether it’s working through past trauma, responding to loss or change, learning to accept and express our authentic selves, having better relationships, overcoming addictive or other unhelpful coping behaviours, or creating meaning in this crazy world – I invite people into a deep space of inquiry and gently challenge them to create profound shifts for themselves.
My practice is integrative and client-centred, combining cognitive, emotional, somatic, and existential approaches. I welcome clients in person in Vancouver as well as online, virtually anywhere.
