About
Professional profile
I have always had a passion for working with people and after years of feeling unfulfilled by my career choices, I made the difficult decision to go back to school as a mature student to start a career in counselling.
Before I graduated my husband and I got pregnant with our first child and I was so excited! However, right before graduation, after 24 weeks of being pregnant I went into labour and we lost our baby girl.
The next few years were incredibly difficult but through the support of family, friends and counsellors , I found a path forward and it solidified the importance counselling had on my healing journey. We now have our rainbow baby, daughter number two, and I am coming off of maternity with a new sense of empathy, understanding and clarity.
I am just starting out on my counselling journey but before maternity leave, I did my practicum, counselling at the Vancouver Women’s Health Collective and I work as a support worker for PearlSpace in Squamish.
I am a RPC-C with the Canadian Professional Counselling Association.
Areas of Specialization: Grounded in Person-Centered therapy, my approach integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Therapy to tailor our sessions to your unique needs.
I consider myself to be a generalist and also specialize in supporting individuals during the transformative Perinatal phase of their lives.
I am located in Squamish BC and offer in person counselling in Squamish, and online counselling services anywhere in BC
