Every student has questions about their education and the institution where they choose to study. On this page, you will find answers to some of the Admission Department’s most frequently asked questions.

Although it varies by semester, there are typically between 230 and 300 full-time students at Rhodes Wellness College, as well as 70 – 100 part-time and online students.

Many of our programs are all online so you will attend classes from the comfort of your home. Some programs are offered in a Blended format where the learning is both online and in-person at our Vancouver campus. For Blended programs, you will need to be physically in Vancouver. Unfortunately, we do not have our own housing, but please see below for resources:

There are four semesters each year (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter) and each semester is 12 weeks long. There is a summer break and winter break for all students. Additionally, between the Spring and Summer semesters, and again between the Fall and Winter semesters, the college runs a guided career exploration, and preparation week. Participation in these special sessions is mandatory for diploma students.

Yes, classes run year-round. The classes being offered vary each semester.

Rhodes Wellness College (the “College”) is committed to enrolling students who meet program admission criteria and who are likely to succeed in achieving their education and career goals.  For admission to the College, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Reach the age of majority (19 years old in British Columbia) or provide to the College the written consent from the applicant’s parental/guardian consent.
  • Personal Statement on why you would like to pursue an education with Rhodes Wellness College and what you hope you to achieve upon graduation.
  • Three character references.
  • Personal resume or curriculum vitae (CV).
  • Successfully complete an Admissions Interview.
  • Demonstrate spoken and written proficiency in the English language consistent with the proficiency of a high school graduate, as evidenced by a written personal statement and the Admissions interview (see also the Language Proficiency Assessment Policy).
  • A minimum of 12 months prior sobriety is required to be verified during the Admissions interview. The College’s representative may require the applicant to provide a letter to the College confirming the applicant’s sobriety from a counselor.
  • Possess a valid study permit/student visa if not a resident or citizen of Canada, and if studying in a full-time program that is longer than six months and provided either exclusively in-person or in a Blended (in-person/synchronous online) format.

*If an applicant does not meet our minimum admission requirements, the requirements cannot be waived by either the College or the applicant.

Yes. We have scholarships for students with specific experience, and also accept general scholarship applications. Students who are receiving government student loans also may qualify for non-repayable bursaries if deemed to be low or middle income by the government and/or if the student has a child or children and/or a disability.
