Established in 1996, Rhodes Wellness College has graduated hundreds of successful students who have gone on to meaningful careers as coaches, counsellors, outreach workers, and more. While theory and knowledge have always been a core component of the college’s programs, Rhodes Wellness College specializes in teaching you how to apply and practice the theory and knowledge you learn in your life, your workplace and with your clients.
At Rhodes, the experiential learning model is used. Experiential learning is the process of actively engaging students in an authentic experience that will have benefits and consequences. Students make discoveries and experiment with knowledge themselves instead of only hearing or reading about the experiences of others. Students also reflect on their experiences, thus developing new skills, attitudes, and new theories or ways of thinking. The Rhodes training program is based on the medicine wheel of emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical wellness.
Rhodes Wellness College is an Associate School member of the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists (ACCT).
