We are honoured to bring you a list of our graduates who have chosen to list their services on our Alumni Directory. All of our graduates have received significant training to help them become professional coaches and counsellors. Directory listing does not guarantee their ability to help every individual and Rhodes Wellness College does not guarantee the work of every graduate. We always urge potential clients to find the best counsellors and coaches that work for their unique situations.
My name name is Kira Lynne and I am a Registered Professional Counsellor, Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling, Life Coach, Registered Holistic Nutritionist, reiki master and teacher, life skills coach, facilitator, educator, writer, meditator, mindful eater, lover of life, food, freedom and joy. My career path has taken many twists and turns. I started out in the restaurant industry, moved to health care administration, then tackled the corporate world. After many years of working in little cubicles and offices under fluorescent lights, I realized I was stuck in a rut and wanted a lot more out of life. In my quest to find more purpose and meaning in my career, I shifted my focus to helping people, something I am truly passionate about. Along the way I have dealt with many challenges, including trauma, loss, disordered eating, chronic pain and illness, stress, marriage, divorce and other challenges common to many of us. I have dedicated much of my life to the pursuit of healing and searching for ways to live a happy and rewarding life. During my own healing journey, I became aware of the importance of recognizing what in my past was holding me back from fully living my life, and then letting go of what was no longer serving me. Self-discovery and healing is a continuous process, one that can be difficult at times, and but that is ultimately tremendously rewarding. Along with my coaching and counselling practice, I have spent time teaching Basic Nutrition and Intuitive Eating for Wellness Coaches and Counsellors at Rhodes Wellness College, Healthy Eating Workshops to grade 10 and 11 students at York House School, Nutrition for Addictions Recovery workshops at a Vancouver recovery house, and working with teenagers providing youth outreach services through a local community program. I also volunteer with Craftworks Society, whose mission is “to promote adult health by providing a craft-therapy program which offers individuals working to overcome physical disability and/or mental illness the opportunity to increase self-esteem, personal growth and creative skills.” My diverse personal experience and education have given me a unique understanding of the importance of treating the whole person. My practice is based on the belief that whether we are seeking a boost to reach optimal health and mental/emotional wellness, or whether we wish to reduce suffering so that we can live happy and purposeful lives, we need to look after our bodies, minds and spirits. By neglecting one element, we may miss an important piece of what is needed to reach our goals. I am passionate about helping people and connecting body, mind and spirit to discover what will help each individual thrive.
