Dr Richard McIlmoyle has been a practicing chiropractor for 20+ years with post graduate education in pain management. He is a mentor in the interdisciplinary BC Adaptive mentorship network for Chronic pain, mental health and substance use. He is also the inaugural chair of the research committee for the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation.
Dr McIlmoyle has done training in ART, DNS, running biomechanics, pain management, narrative medicine, trauma informed care and many other biomechanics and
psychologically informed courses. The Somatosensory Integration course emerged from the experience of students observing his work and asking questions. It comes from an amalgamation of information on the embodied sense of self, how we experience body sensations and how those drive our biomechanics. Research supported approach to diagnosis and treatment is at the core of this course.
