The Professional Integrative Nutrition Diploma Program includes nutritional studies, life coaching, and counselling. This program provides you with the practical experience and skills for a rewarding career as a Professional Nutrition Coaching Counsellor with added coaching and counselling skills.
Rhodes Wellness College is excited to introduce the first college-based diploma program in B.C. that helps students learn both professional nutritionist skills and professional coaching counselling skills in a comprehensive and integrated way.
This integrative program allows graduates to work in a wide array of industries: from the food, wellness, and health industries to private practice in the nutrition coaching and counselling industry. Graduates will be able to work as Nutrition Educators, Nutrition Consultants, Wellness Managers, Wellness Counsellors, and Life Coaches. They will be able to work in various customer consulting positions at Nutrition stores, in outreach centres and recovery centres, as holistic nutritionists, and will also have the option to work in private and semi-private practice, either on their own or with a group of other wellness-related counsellors.
Nutritionists Who Are Also Coaches and Counsellors Can Make a Huge Difference in the Lives of Others
Graduates that complete nutrition-only programs report difficulty when trying to help clients overcome issues that branch into non-nutrition areas. Depression, addiction, past physical trauma, and other challenges that are commonplace in today’s world make it difficult to motivate others to make nutritional changes that will benefit their health. Similarly, nutrition has a profound effect on an individual’s sense of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Counsellors that ignore this area are not utilizing every potential tool to help their clients.
Graduates from Rhodes Wellness College’s Professional Integrative Nutrition Program will have the advantage of being in a position to apply for jobs from two sectors – both the front lines of mental health, emotional health, and addiction recovery as well as in all areas of nutritional wellness, coaching and counselling thereby increasing their career prospects upon graduation.
Graduates will also be able to register with both the International Coach Federation and the Health Coach Alliance to receive potentially both their Associate Certified Coach certification designation and their Registered Health and Nutrition Counsellor designation. The designation of Registered Health and Nutrition Counsellor (RHNC) is a designation granted by the Health Coach Alliance (HCA). Rhodes Wellness College students can become RHNC’s.
Graduate Outcomes
After successfully finishing the program, our alumni consistently demonstrate a track record of success, transitioning into roles as nutrition specialist or life coaches. Many move on to further study or set up their own coaching or counselling businesses.

Frequently Asked Questions about the PIND Program
Integrative nutrition is a holistic approach to health that considers not only what a person eats, but also how lifestyle, mental health, emotional wellbeing, and environmental factors influence overall wellness. While conventional nutrition often focuses on calories, nutrients, and treating specific physical conditions through diet, integrative nutrition emphasizes the connection between mind, body, and spirit. It includes tools like coaching, counselling, stress management, and behaviour change strategies to support long-term health. At Rhodes Wellness College, our Professional Integrative Nutrition Diploma teaches students to view nutrition through a whole-person lens, helping clients make meaningful, sustainable changes across all areas of their lives.
No prior science or healthcare background is required to apply. Our program is designed to teach you the foundational knowledge you need in anatomy, physiology, and nutritional science. We support students from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds and provide a structured, supportive environment to help you succeed, regardless of your previous experience.
Upon graduation from our Professional Integrative Nutrition Diploma Program, you’ll be eligible to apply for accreditation through respected national associations such as the Canadian Association for Integrative Nutrition (CAIN) and the Health Coach Alliance (HCA). These professional affiliations validate that your education meets industry standards, enhance your credibility as a certified nutritionist or health coach, and support your access to liability insurance, continuing education opportunities, and greater career advancement.
